WP 7000 - Yellow River Delta Information System

Objectives

The work package WP 7000 has the goal to develop an integrated information system for the yellow river delta, which contains data and information products out of over ten research dis-ciplines. From all the different work packages the results will be ingested into the system and thus an integrated view form all the different angles on the delta and the occurring processes will be possible. (Li et al 1999) already claimed in their thorough assessment on the vulnera-bility of the yellow river delta the necessity of information systems to monitor changes in the sensitive eco system. The here envisaged, innovative information system goes one step further as it chooses an integrative approach to bring together all the different research fields and provides a platform for all.

WP 7000 is structured in three Tasks with following Activities:
