DLR held 2nd stakeholder training course in Dongying, November 2014

DLR held a three day user training workshop in Dongying from November 17th to 19th 2014. All participants from the Yellow River Delta Sustainable Development Institute of Shandong Province and the Shandong Yellow River Delta National Nature Reserve who took part in the training course in June 2014 in Beijing took part in the second follow-up course as well.

The course was again a mixture of theoretical lessons and practical sessions. Theoretical background was on data management concepts and implementation in the DELIGHT information system. The practical lessons contained the work with Open source GIS software QGIS for data and information product preparation under utilization of what the participants learnt in the first course in summer. Furthermore, the focus of practical learning was on data integration into the DELIGHT information system.
