DELIGHT field campaign to the Yellow River Delta in December 2015

From November 12th to December 8th a group of scientists from Franzius-Institute of University Hannover travelled to China to conduct vessel-based measurements in the Yellow River Delta region. In succession to a previous campaign in 2013, which yielded a calibration data set for hydronumerical models, the data collected this year comprises a complimentary validation data set.

Furthermore, the DELIGHT partner LREIS in Beijing was visited, where soil and water samples from the campaign were analyzed. Last but not least, the Department of Ocean Engineering at the Ocean University of China in Qingdao was visited, where a short workshop was held regarding the Yellow River under the supervision of Prof. B. Liang.
